Our girls’ football team made their way over to Cullybackey today to take part in a girls’ friendly tournament. They started with a tightly contested 0-0 draw against Kirkinriola with captain Nevaeh marshalling the defence to the first of four clean sheets. The next game saw our girls come up against Buick and they managed to nick a 1-0 win courtesy of a tidy finish from Ema. The girls then faced another team from Buick and were held to a 0-0 draw with highly energetic performances from Analisa and Khaleesi. The day was rounded off with another game against Kirkinriola with Ema again producing a neat finish to secure a 1-0 win. The defence of Letiticia, Alexa and Nevaeh worked hard to maintain the clean sheet and shield the goal of Lilly-May, who herself produced a number of excellent stops.
