Minister of Education Visit
It was a pleasure to have the Minister of Education and representatives from the Department of Education visit our school today and offer us words of encouragement! As always, our pupils were fantastic, they spoke so well about their learning and about all that is going on at Dunclug Primary School.
The Department of Education tweeted: 'Education Minister Peter Weir, visited Dunclug Primary School and met Principal Alastair Beacom and others taking part in a Summer School this week and next. There were many activities for the pupils and emphasis was on learning, play and having fun. During the visit, the Minister also spoke to the school chairperson St Clair Beatty, teachers and classroom assistants and heard a brief summary of the last two years at Dunclug Primary School, their vision for the future and plans for children returning in September.'
Minister Weir also tweeted: 'Delighted to visit Dunclug PS to see their excellent summer scheme and to hear of all the great work happening at the school.'
