Today we were delighted to welcome Mr Richard Pengelly, Chief Executive of the EA to our school. Mr Pengelly enjoyed a tour of our school and had the opportunity to talk with pupils and staff. Our pupils discussed their learning with confidence and showcased aspects of our school life including our child centred approach, community links, SEN provision, outdoor learning, nurture provision and extra curricular activities. Mr Pengelly wished to acknowledge the school’s success in recent years and our journey that has seen our school grow from a school of 60 to over 200 pupils. He spent time with all of our teaching, non teaching and kitchen staff and thanked them all for their hard work.
Our pupils were quite rightly the stars of the show! Mr Pengelly commented on the smiling, happy faces throughout the school and the friendly, warm welcome he received. We are thrilled that he chose our school to visit, to see what a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school we are.
